Booking Conditions

You probably don’t like reading terms & conditions as much as we don’t like writing them, but please read them carefully as they form the basis of your contract with us. Nothing in these booking conditions affect your normal statutory rights. We advise that you take out Holiday Insurance.

Making your booking

At the time of booking, if there are more than 60 days before your start date, you will be required to pay a 20% deposit to reserve your dates. If there are fewer than 60 days before your start date, then you will need to pay the full price before your booking will be made.

Once the initial deposit or full payment has been received, you will receive an email confirming the booking. The contract between us is formed once you receive the confirmation email.

Please carefully check the details of your booking before making a payment, as well as the confirmation email and inform us immediately of any errors, or omissions.

Please note that the booking is not transferable to other persons.

Paying for your booking

Please ensure that all payments are made to us by the Final Payment Date, or we may take this as an indication that you have cancelled the booking. We will send courtesy emails before any payments become due.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking

Please let us know as soon as possible by email if you wish to cancel or amend your booking, as this will allow us to deal with any cancellation as quickly as possible.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • If you cancel 60 days+ prior to the start of your booking, then your deposit will be fully refunded.
  • If you cancel 15-59 days prior to the start of your booking, then 75% of your total cost will be refunded.
  • No costs can be refunded if a cancellation is received 14 days prior to the start of your booking, or after the day your booking is due to start.

If we need to cancel or amend your booking

We would not expect to have to alter your booking in any way once you have booked with us. If however we need to cancel your booking, or amend it in a way that is not acceptable to you, then we will refund all payments.

Arrival & Departure

You may arrive at Northolme any time after 3pm on the first day of your booking. Information on gaining access to the property will be sent via email after your booking has been confirmed. We ask that you depart the property before 10am on the final day of your stay.

The Property

Please treat the property with due respect and follow any guidelines regarding parking, or recycling etc. Please note that there is no smoking permitted at this property.

Up to two dogs are permitted to stay with you at Northolme. This must be specified at the time of booking and an extra cleaning fee of £35 will be added to the total cost of your stay.

If there is evidence that damage has been caused to the property and/or its contents, either willfully, or through neglect, then we may take action to recover any compensation we may feel necessary.

We would ask that you allow us, or our representatives to access the property at any reasonable time during your stay for the purpose of essential repairs or in an emergency.

Wi-Fi

There is free Wi-Fi available for all guests at Northolme. Please note that, although the network is password protected, there is no adult content filter applied. As such, depending on the settings on your wireless devices, all logged in users will have full internet access.

Group and Single Sex Bookings

We welcome group and single sex bookings with the understanding that from 10pm guests respect the need for privacy and quiet by other guests. The Bay location is not suitable for rowdy Stag or Hen parties. If you have any concerns as to whether this location is suitable for you, then please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your needs further.

Our Liability

Our maximum liability for any losses you suffer as a result of us acting in breach of these terms and conditions is limited to the total fees you have paid to us for the booking. These booking conditions, together with the quote and our booking confirmation email contain the entire agreement between us and you relating to the booking.

 

Privacy Policy

Personal Information

To effectively meet your needs as our guest, we will ask for some personal details when you make a booking –

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number

This information is stored on the servers of our website management company, locally on our systems, as well as via a cloud storage service.

All of the above services are fully GDPR compliant and every effort is made to keep your information secure at all times.

The data you supply us when filling out a form on our website is submitted via an SSL encrypted connection, and we will never ask for or store data which is not essential to us carrying out our services.

Communications

We will only use your contact information to communicate with you about your booking, or matters which directly affect you or your stay at Northolme.

We will not share your data with any third parties without your express permission, unless we are required to do so by law.

Your Rights

At any time, you have the right to request –

  • A copy of all of your personal information which is being stored
  • To have any of the information updated
  • To have all of your data removed from our systems

In order to carry out any of these requests we will have to ask for confirmation of your identity.

Security Breaches

We take security seriously, and Every effort is made to keep your data safe, secure and out of the wrong hands. However, should there be a breach at any time and your data has been involved, both you and the relevant authorities will be contacted directly.
