Laying 10 miles to the south of The Bay is the holiday town of Bridlington. It has golden sandy beaches flanking either side of its historic, bustling harbour.

You can enjoy a stroll along its beautifully designed promenades where you can take in the bright lights and fun fairs, or just find a quiet place to reflect and watch the world go by. Something special can usually be found in Bridlington’s Old Town area with its restaurant’s café’s and quaint shops. It also has a 24hr Morrison’s supermarket and petrol station.

No trip to Yorkshire is complete without a visit to the City of York and it is only 41 miles from The Bay. It has an incredible wealth of things to see and do and boasts more attractions per square mile inside its city walls that any other destination in the U.K.

You can explore York’s Roman, Viking and Medieval past as well as pay a visit to its iconic York Minster. There are several museums to see including the Castle Museum and the national Railway Museum to name but two.

In York there are concert halls, theatres and places of live entertainment galore, as well as restaurants serving food from around the world.
